What is Stripe?

Stripe is an online payment service provider that is easy, fast, and uncomplicated to set up.

There are no monthly basic fees when using Stripe. The transaction fees are extremely affordable compared to other providers.*

The Stripe interface provides the following functions:

  1. Virtual credit card terminal - Charge credit cards directly from 3RPMS®
    Credit card data can be manually entered directly in the reservation view, saved, and charged with just one click with the desired amount.


    Bookings transferred from the channel manager are displayed directly in the 3RPMS® reservation view when the Stripe interface is activated. With one click, credit cards can be charged from the reservation view.

  2. Payment Step During Online Check-In
    Enhance the online check-in process with a payment function. The payment step can be globally set as optional or mandatory. Additionally, the payment step can be activated or deactivated at the reservation level in the reservation view as needed.

  3. Self-Checkout
    Your guests automatically receive an email invitation to self-checkout at a defined time.
    By clicking the "Check Out Online Now" button in the email, your guest can view their bill and make payment online.


    Once the payment has been successfully processed, the invoice is automatically generated, and the booking is marked as settled. Naturally, the invoice is stored in the invoice archive as usual.

    The self-checkout can be preset as the standard for all bookings, or you can individually define whether your guest should receive an invitation to self-checkout for each booking.

    Betterspace users:
    If you use Betterspace's digital guest folders in your establishment, your guests can also view the invoice on the digital guest folders in their room and perform the check-out.

    Gastfreund users:
    When using Gastfreund's digital guest folder, guests can perform the online check-in directly in the Gastfreund app and view their invoice (optionally adjustable).

  4. Online Payment Option for Deposits
    Add a payment button to booking confirmations, allowing your guest to make a payment with just a few clicks via credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express), Klarna, Giropay, SOFORT, EPS, Apple Pay, Google Pay, iDEAL, SEPA Direct Debit.

    Once the payment is made by your guest, it will appear in the reservation view.

    You can easily control whether and in what amount a deposit is required for a booking. Simply enter the amount your guest should pay in the "required deposit" field in the reservation view. The booking confirmation will then display the payment button along with a notice indicating that a deposit of the corresponding amount is required:


    Optionally, you can create your own templates with your desired text.

To use Stripe with 3RPMS®, you'll need the 3RPMS® Stripe interface. To order the interface, simply send an informal email to office@3rpms.de. We charge a one-time fee of €99 plus VAT for activating the Stripe interface.
